Abstract:

This will be a 1-hour live and then on-demand CEU for behavior analysts. The topic will be Getting into Clinical Behavior Analysis: Getting Paid. This course is designed to provide an overview of how to get paid as a clinical behavior analyst, including the steps involved in securing insurance reimbursement and navigating managed care organizations, understanding the legal issues related to billing clients and third party payers, preparing effective invoices, determining fair market value fees for services rendered (with examples), selecting appropriate revenue streams that complement one another based on your practice needs or goals, managing collections in ways that are consistent with best practices.

Learning Objectives:

  1. The clinician will be able to describe frequent issues in pursuing reimbursement from 3rd party payers for non-Autism focused services.
  2. The clinician will be able to describe at least one way to work around these issues to support a financially viable Clinical Behavior Analysis practice.
